Your financial data is deeply personal. Pocket Clear is built on the principle that your money information belongs to you and nobody else. We designed our privacy model around four non-negotiable pillars that apply to every user, whether free or Pro.
Unlike many finance apps that monetize through advertising or data partnerships, Pocket Clear's business model is simple: we charge for Pro features. That is our only revenue source. We have no incentive to collect, analyze, or sell your data because we do not make money from it.
These are not just words in a policy document. They are architectural decisions baked into how the app is built. For example, Cloud Sync data is encrypted on your device before it reaches our servers — we literally cannot read it even if we wanted to.
The four privacy pillars
1. No Ads
Pocket Clear contains zero advertising. No banner ads, no sponsored content, no "recommended products" based on your spending. The app is completely ad-free and always will be.
2. AES-256 Encryption
All data synced to the cloud is encrypted with AES-256, the same standard used by banks, governments, and military organizations. Encryption happens on your device before data is transmitted. Our servers store only encrypted blobs that we cannot decrypt.
3. No AI Training
Your transaction data is never used to train machine learning models, AI systems, or any form of automated analysis. Your spending patterns are yours alone. We do not aggregate, anonymize, or feed user data into any AI pipeline.
4. No Data Selling
We do not sell, rent, share, or trade your data with any third party — not advertisers, not data brokers, not "partners," not anyone. Period.
