Welcome to Pocket Clear. By using our mobile application, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Pocket Clear, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our app.
2. Description of Service
Pocket Clear is a personal expense tracking application that allows you to:
- Record income and expenses
- Organize transactions by category
- View spending reports and charts
- Optionally sync data to the cloud (Pro feature)
- Set budgets for spending categories (Pro feature)
3. User Accounts
To use Pocket Clear, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. Free and Pro Plans
Pocket Clear offers two plans:
- Free Plan: Unlimited local expense tracking, custom categories, reports, and themes.
- Pro Plan ($1/month): All Free features plus cloud backup, cross-device sync, and budgeting tools.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
- Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through the Apple App Store.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage your subscription in your App Store account settings.
- Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy.
6. Your Data
- You retain all rights to your transaction data.
- Free users: Data is stored locally on your device only.
- Pro users: Data is encrypted and synced to our servers.
- You can export or delete your data at any time.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to bypass security measures
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Reverse engineer or decompile the app
- Use automated systems to access the service excessively
8. Intellectual Property
Pocket Clear and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Pocket Clear is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The app will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Data will never be lost (always keep backups)
- The app will meet all your specific needs
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pocket Clear shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data
- Financial decisions made based on app data
- Service interruptions
Important: Pocket Clear is a personal tracking tool, not financial advice. Always consult a financial professional for important decisions.
11. Data Loss
While we take precautions to protect your data:
- Free users should regularly back up their device, as local data can be lost if the device is lost or damaged.
- Pro users' cloud data is backed up, but we recommend periodic local exports as well.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your access to the app will be revoked
- Your cloud data will be deleted (Pro users)
- Local data on your device remains until you delete the app
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
