Setup Guide
Pocket Clear has grown a lot, and most people only ever use the handful of features they stumbled across in the first week. The setup guide exists to fix that. In the top-left corner of your Home screen there's a small circular progress ring showing something like 6/19 — that's how many of Pocket Clear's features you've set up so far.
Tap the ring and the Set up Pocket Clear checklist opens. Every row is one feature, with a one-line description of what it does. Tap a row and you go straight to the screen where you set it up — no hunting through Settings.
How the ring counts
Nothing here is tracked or reported anywhere. An item counts as done because the app can already see you've used it — you have at least one budget, you've turned Cloud Sync on, you've linked a partner. That's read from data already on your device, so if you've been using Pocket Clear for a while, the ring will already be part-full the first time you see it.
You can also Skip anything you'll never want. A skipped row greys out, still counts toward the ring, and keeps an Undo button if you change your mind. Set something up after skipping it and it flips back to done automatically — using a feature always wins over having skipped it.
When you reach 19/19, the ring disappears from Home so it stops taking up space. You can reopen the checklist any time from Settings → Setup guide.

Pro rows carry a PRO badge. If you're on the free plan and tap one, you'll see the upgrade screen rather than the feature — but you're never blocked from anything: the free plan works exactly as it always has, whether the ring says 0/19 or 19/19.
The home-screen widget item
One item works slightly differently. Neither iPhone nor Android lets an app reliably ask "does this user have my widget installed?", so Add the home-screen widget is marked done the first time Pocket Clear detects a widget of its own on your home screen. Once marked, it stays done — removing the widget later doesn't un-tick it.
Good to know
- Free feature, shown to everyone. The ring appears for free and Pro users alike.
- Nothing is gated. The guide is a nudge, never a limit — ignoring it costs you nothing.
- It's on your device. Which items you've skipped is stored locally and isn't synced or sent anywhere. Done-state rides your normal data, so on a second device with Cloud Sync on, features you've set up show as done there too.
- New features join the list. When Pocket Clear adds a feature, it's appended to the checklist and the total grows — a completed ring can reappear after an update with one new item to look at.
