Today's Tip

Today's tip is a small card on the Home screen that shows you one feature a day. Tap it and you get a short walkthrough of that feature — two or three real screenshots of the app with a line under each one saying what to do — followed by a Try it button that takes you straight to the screen where the feature lives, and a Learn more button that opens its help article.

There's nothing to set up. The day you install or update the app there's no tip; from the next day the card appears on its own, one tip per day, and it only covers things you haven't used yet: if you've already set up a budget, you won't be shown the budgets tip. On a day the What's New card is showing after an update, there's no tip — the two never appear together.

Opening and dismissing a tip

Tapping the card opens the walkthrough. Tapping the × in its corner dismisses it. Either way, that tip is done: it stays on Home for the rest of the day if you opened it (so you can look again), and it is gone once the day ends. A tip you never touched is treated the same — it counts as seen at the end of its day, and the next day brings the next one. No tip is shown twice.

Pro tips

Some tips describe Pro features. They're shown to everyone. The Tips list marks them with a PRO badge on every plan; on a free account the Home card carries the same badge, so you know before you open one. The walkthrough itself is the same for everyone — you can read all of it. The only difference is the button at the end: on a free account it reads Upgrade to Pro rather than Try it, and opens the upgrade screen instead of the feature.

Per device, not synced

Which tips you've seen is stored on the device you saw them on. It does not sync with your other devices or with your partner in Partner Mode, so a phone and a tablet on the same account each work through the tips on their own schedule.

Finding a tip again

Every tip, whether it has been shown yet or not, is listed under Settings → Tips. The list is in the order the tips normally appear, and the ones you've already seen are greyed out with a check next to them. Tap any row to open the same walkthrough the Home card shows. The list is the permanent home for tips — dismissing a card never loses it.
