Transaction Reminders
Transaction Reminders send you a push notification before a specific payment is due — like a credit card bill, insurance premium, or quarterly tax payment. Unlike Recurring Transactions which auto-log entries, reminders simply nudge you so you can take action yourself.
This is useful for payments that vary in amount (like a utility bill) or ones that require manual action (like logging in to a website to pay). You set the date and time, and Pocket Clear sends a notification with the transaction name and amount so you remember to handle it.
You can set one-time reminders or repeating ones that fire on a schedule. Each reminder can be snoozed or dismissed directly from the notification. Managing all your reminders happens in one place in Settings.
How to set a transaction reminder
- Open Pocket Clear and go to Settings > Transaction Reminders.
- Tap Add Reminder.
- Enter a name (e.g., "Electric Bill"), an optional amount, and the date and time for the reminder.
- Choose whether this is a one-time reminder or repeating (weekly, monthly, etc.).
- Tap Save. You will receive a push notification at the scheduled time.
Managing reminders
- All reminders are listed in Settings > Transaction Reminders.
- Tap a reminder to edit the name, amount, date, or frequency.
- Swipe left to delete a reminder.
- Make sure push notifications are enabled on your device, or reminders will not be delivered.
