Push Notifications

Pocket Clear can send you push notifications to keep you informed without needing to open the app. Notifications are optional and fully controllable — you decide which types you want to receive and can turn them off at any time.

There are several types of notifications: the daily reminder to log expenses, the weekly spending summary, transaction reminders for upcoming bills, and partner activity updates if you use Partner Mode. Each type can be toggled independently.

Push notifications require your device's permission. When you first enable notifications in Pocket Clear, your phone will ask you to allow them. If you decline or later revoke permission in your device settings, Pocket Clear will not be able to send notifications even if they are enabled in-app.

How to manage notifications

1. Open Pocket Clear and tap Settings (gear icon).
2. Tap Notifications.
3. Toggle each notification type on or off:
   • Daily Reminder — a daily nudge to log expenses.
   • Weekly Summary — your spending summary each week.
   • Transaction Reminders — alerts for upcoming bills (Pro).
   • Partner Updates — when your partner logs a transaction (Pro).
4. Changes take effect immediately.

Troubleshooting

• If you are not receiving notifications, check your device's system settings to make sure Pocket Clear has notification permission.
• On Android, make sure Pocket Clear is not in a battery-restricted mode, which can block background notifications.
• On iOS, check Settings > Notifications > Pocket Clear and ensure "Allow Notifications" is on.
