Partner Mode
Partner Mode lets you link your Pocket Clear account with one other person — a spouse, partner, or housemate — so you can see each other's transactions and track combined household spending. Each person keeps their own account and logs their own transactions; Partner Mode simply shares the data between you.
Once linked, you get three filters on the Home screen: Me (your transactions only), Partner (their transactions only), and Combined (everything together). This makes it easy to see total household spending while still keeping individual tracking intact.
Linking is done via a 6-digit code. One partner generates the code in Settings, shares it with the other person (in person, text, etc.), and they enter it on their device. The link is established instantly. Either partner can unlink at any time — unlinking removes shared data access but does not delete anyone's transactions.
How to link with a partner
- Both partners must have Pocket Clear Pro with Cloud Sync enabled and the same primary currency.
- Partner A: Go to Settings > Partner Mode > Generate Code. A 6-digit code will appear (valid for 5 minutes).
- Partner B: Go to Settings > Partner Mode > Enter Code. Type in the 6-digit code.
- Both devices will confirm the link. The Me/Combined/Partner filters now appear on the Home screen.
Requirements
- Both partners must be on Pocket Clear Pro.
- Both must have Cloud Sync enabled.
- Both must use the same primary currency. If currencies differ, the link will be blocked.
- You can only be linked with one partner at a time.
Unlinking
Either partner can unlink at any time from Settings > Partner Mode > Unlink. Unlinking removes the shared data view but does not delete either person's transactions. You can re-link later with a new code.
